Invasive & Nuisance Wildlife

Florida is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, but when animals begin damaging property, entering homes or structures, threatening pets, or creating unsafe conditions, professional wildlife control may be necessary.

Removal & control for South Florida’s problem wildlife

Toad Shield & Wildlife Control provides targeted removal and control services for invasive and nuisance wildlife throughout South Florida. Our approach focuses on identifying the problem, safely addressing the wildlife involved, and helping property owners reduce the conditions that may be attracting animals to the property.

What is nuisance wildlife?

Nuisance wildlife generally refers to individual animals whose behavior creates a conflict with people or property, such as causing or threatening property damage, creating a public-safety concern, or becoming an annoyance within, under, or upon a building.

An animal does not have to be invasive to become a nuisance. Many native Florida species play an important role in our ecosystem but can occasionally create problems when they enter homes, damage structures or landscaping, or establish themselves too close to people and pets.

Why are invasive species a problem in Florida?

Invasive wildlife does not naturally belong in Florida and can negatively affect native wildlife, ecosystems, property, agriculture, and in some cases human or pet safety.

Without natural population controls, certain invasive species can spread rapidly. They may compete with native wildlife for food and habitat, prey on native species, damage landscaping and infrastructure, or disrupt Florida’s natural ecosystems.

Removing and controlling invasive wildlife helps reduce these impacts while protecting Florida’s native species.
