Our Story
Local experts who put your pets and family first
We started Toad Shield after a close call with our own dog and a cane toad. Today we protect South Florida families from the invasive wildlife most people never see coming.
Toad Shield started the way a lot of South Florida pet owners learn about cane toads — the hard way. After a close call with a beloved dog and a frantic late-night drive to the emergency vet, we realized how little most families know about the dangerous wildlife living right in their own backyards.
That experience sparked a mission: protecting pets, families, and properties from invasive and potentially dangerous wildlife.
As a first responder-owned and operated company, protecting people and animals isn’t just our business — it’s who we are. Our background in emergency services has instilled a commitment to rapid response, public safety, professionalism, and helping others when they need it most. We bring that same dedication to every property we service.
We are local and fully insured. We know where cane toads breed, where venomous snakes seek shelter, and how iguanas can damage landscapes, seawalls, and structures — because we encounter these challenges every day throughout South Florida.
At Toad Shield, we believe in protection, not just removal. We focus on safe, effective wildlife management, honest recommendations, and solutions tailored to each property and family. Our goal is simple: give homeowners peace of mind and help create safer outdoor spaces for the people and pets who call South Florida home.
